Mold spores are in the air everywhere around us. All it takes is a moist environment and a cellulose substrate and you have the ideal environment for the development of a mold colony. Once mold take a hold, it spreads like a disease causing structural damage and possible heath issues. 

A situation like this requires immediate remediation, however a poor remediation attempt can result in the release of millions of mold spores, which travel throughout the home and find other areas to settle down and develop colonies.
